As a Security Operations & Monitoring Engineer, your responsibilities will span a broad spectrum of security operations, ensuring that our systems remain secure, compliant, and resilient against evolving cyber threats. Key Responsibilities:

• Threat Detection and Response: Deploy and manage advanced security monitoring tools to identify, analyze, and respond to potential security incidents in real time. Leverage SIEM solutions, log analysis, and threat intelligence platforms to detect anomalies and mitigate risks effectively.
• Security Operations Framework: Design, configure, and optimize security policies, procedures, and controls to align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with global security standards and organizational guidelines.
• Incident Management: Lead incident response efforts, including triage, containment, and resolution of security breaches. Document incidents and lessons learned to strengthen future security strategies.
• Security Awareness and Training: Develop and deliver security training programs to educate employees on best practices for cybersecurity hygiene. Foster a culture of security awareness across the organization.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, vulnerabilities, and threat landscapes. Recommend and implement improvements to security infrastructure and processes based on emerging risks.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work seamlessly with IT, development, and business teams to integrate security best practices into all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Communicate security findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications and Skills:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in security operations, monitoring, or a related field. Prior experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, IBM QRadar), intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection solutions is highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiencies: Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash), network security concepts, and familiarity with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Knowledge of vulnerability assessment tools and penetration testing methodologies is an asset.
• Certifications: Preferred certifications include CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+.
