Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our esteemed healthcare team at Riyadh Care Hospitals and Clinics. In this critical role, you will deliver exceptional respiratory care to patients across diverse clinical settings, ensuring their safety, comfort, and optimal health outcomes. Your expertise in advanced therapeutic interventions, diagnostic evaluations, and life-support technologies will be instrumental in enhancing patient recovery and well-being. Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care and Treatment: Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, mechanical ventilation, sputum induction, and chest physiotherapy, as prescribed by attending physicians. Evaluate patient responses to treatments and document outcomes meticulously, ensuring compliance with clinical protocols and safety standards.
• Advanced Life Support: Manage patients receiving mechanical life support ventilation, collaborating with physicians to adjust ventilator parameters and institute prescribed changes. Perform bedside pulmonary mechanics testing to assess and monitor respiratory status, ensuring accurate data collection and reporting to the medical team.
• Diagnostic and Therapeutic Procedures: Conduct arterial blood gas and acid-base analyses, providing timely interpretations to prescribing physicians. Assist in bronchoscopic procedures under physician supervision and prepare emergency intubation kits to support critical care interventions.
• Patient and Family Education: Educate patients and their families on therapeutic measures, lung expansion techniques, and the proper use of respiratory equipment. Ensure adherence to patient and family education policies, documenting all educational interactions in the medical record to promote continuity of care.
• Equipment and Safety Compliance: Maintain respiratory therapy equipment in optimal working condition, ensuring cleanliness, sterility, and adherence to safety standards. Implement infection control measures to prevent the spread of communicable diseases, aligning with Joint Commission for Accreditation of Hospital Standards.
• Collaboration and Professional Development: Work closely with the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) team to provide emergency respiratory support. Participate in in-service education programs and clinical instruction for newly hired Respiratory Therapists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. Adhere to infection control, safety, and environmental health practices to uphold the highest standards of care.
• Documentation and Communication: Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of patient treatments, responses, and adverse reactions. Notify the Head of Respiratory Therapy, attending physicians, and nursing staff of any adverse events, initiating emergency procedures as necessary to ensure patient safety.

Qualifications and Skills
