The Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned financial expert to join our team and co-deliver engagements alongside our technical readiness practice. This role is tailored for professionals with a strong background in finance, particularly those familiar with the venture capital landscape in Saudi Arabia and the broader GCC region. The ideal candidate will support tech companies—primarily in Saudi Arabia and the GCC—as they prepare to raise venture capital or growth-stage funding, ensuring they meet the financial and strategic requirements of institutional investors.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Readiness Assessment: Evaluate clients' financial preparedness for investment by conducting comprehensive cash flow analysis, burn rate assessments, runway calculations, and financial modeling to ensure accuracy and strategic alignment.
• Cap Table and Deal Structure Advisory: Provide expert guidance on cap table structuring, deal terms, and valuation positioning tailored to the unique dynamics of the Saudi/GCC market, ensuring clients are positioned competitively for funding rounds.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the technical readiness team to align financial projections with technical roadmaps, ensuring consistency and mutual credibility in client deliverables.
• Client-Facing Representation: Participate in client meetings alongside technical partners, presenting a cohesive and unified readiness offering that addresses both financial and technical considerations.
• Market Intelligence: Deliver informed insights on the Saudi/GCC venture capital landscape, including active investors, sector trends, and funding preferences, to guide clients in their fundraising strategies.

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and attributes:

• Proven Financial Expertise: Demonstrated experience in financial modeling, fractional CFO roles, or advisory services focused on startup fundraising, with a track record of preparing companies for institutional investment rounds.
• Deep Market Knowledge: A strong, up-to-date understanding of the venture capital ecosystem in Saudi Arabia and the GCC, including investor expectations, common deal structures, and active funds such as sovereign-backed entities, corporate venture capital, and independent investors.
• Cross-Functional Experience: Prior experience assisting tech companies in preparing for seed through growth-stage funding rounds, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable strategies.
• Flexible Engagement Model: Comfort with a project-based, flexible work structure, adapting to the dynamic needs of clients and the evolving demands of the venture capital landscape.
• Regional Presence or Ties: Ideally based in Saudi Arabia or the GCC, or with strong professional connections to the region, enabling seamless collaboration with local clients and stakeholders.
• Language Proficiency: Professional fluency in English is essential, while proficiency in Arabic is highly preferred to effectively engage with the target market and stakeholders.

Engagement Structure

Depending on the candidate's fit and preferences, this role can be structured as a standard paid engagement or, for the right individual, as a longer-term partnership. The latter may include joint proposals, shared client relationships, and a revenue-sharing arrangement centered around a combined technical and financial readiness practice.
