Key Responsibilities

As a Biomedical Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include the installation, maintenance, repair, testing, commissioning, and recall management of all biomedical equipment sold by our company. Your role will encompass a wide range of technical activities to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of medical devices. Below are the core duties and expectations associated with this position:

• Equipment Installation and Maintenance: Execute the installation, repair, and recall implementation of all medical equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Ensure that all technical activities are completed efficiently and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Technical Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all technical activities, including installations, repairs, and maintenance procedures. Submit weekly reports to your direct supervisor, summarizing progress, challenges, and outcomes. Adhere strictly to the company’s internal policies and procedures to uphold operational integrity.
• Knowledge Sharing and Training: Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions and provide internal training to new team members entering the service field. Share best practices, technical insights, and troubleshooting techniques to enhance the overall competency of the team.
• Issue Escalation and Problem Resolution: Identify and report any potential risks or dilemmas that may pose a threat to the company’s operations or reputation. Collaborate closely with your direct manager to address and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
• Field Support and Client Engagement: Deliver exceptional on-site technical support to clients, addressing their equipment-related concerns and ensuring minimal downtime. Work collaboratively with the sales team to support business development activities and foster strong client relationships.
• Travel and Mobility: Embrace extensive travel requirements, as this role involves 70% internal travel. Respond to on-site technical requests, perform equipment maintenance, and provide client support across assigned regions, demonstrating adaptability and reliability in diverse environments.

Qualifications and Requirements

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following educational and professional criteria:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in the biomedical engineering field, with a preference for candidates with 2-3 years of experience specifically with laboratory machines.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong technical skills in the installation, repair, and maintenance of biomedical equipment, coupled with a deep understanding of industry standards and safety protocols.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency in training and mentoring colleagues to enhance team performance.
