SAP Finance Senior Consultant (FI/CO)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP Finance Senior Consultant (FI/CO – S/4HANA Finance) to lead the strategic design, implementation, configuration, and support of SAP Finance and Controlling solutions within SAP S/4HANA and ECC environments. This pivotal role requires a deep understanding of financial processes, regulatory compliance, and cutting-edge SAP technologies to drive finance transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in SAP FI/CO modules, with a proven track record of delivering end-to-end finance projects, managing cross-functional teams, and aligning business objectives with technological advancements. The role demands a strong focus on localization, public sector requirements, and the ability to mentor junior consultants while ensuring seamless integration with other business functions.

Key Responsibilities

The SAP Finance Senior Consultant will be responsible for the following core deliverables:

• Project Leadership and Workstream Management: Lead SAP FI/CO workstreams across implementation, rollout, upgrade, and support projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory standards.
• Solution Architecture and Design: Conduct Fit-to-Standard and Fit-Gap workshops to gather business requirements and define robust finance solution architectures that leverage SAP S/4HANA capabilities, including Universal Journal (ACDOCA), Advanced Asset Accounting, Group Reporting, and Fiori Finance Applications.
• Configuration and Support: Configure and support critical SAP Financial Accounting (FI) modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Cash Management, and Financial Closing activities. Additionally, configure and support SAP Controlling (CO) components, including Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), Margin Analysis, and Profit Center Accounting.
• Localization and Compliance: Deliver localization requirements, including ZATCA e-Invoicing, VAT, Withholding Tax (WHT), statutory financial reporting, and bilingual reporting. Ensure compliance with IFRS, statutory regulations, public sector requirements, and internal governance standards.
• Treasury and Cash Management: Support Treasury and Cash Management solutions, including Treasury and Risk Management (TRM), Bank Communication Management (BCM), and cash forecasting processes to optimize financial operations.
• Analytics and Reporting: Support SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) planning and financial reporting initiatives to enhance decision-making and financial transparency.
• Integration and Coordination: Define integration requirements and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including MM, SD, PP, HR, Payroll, Treasury, and other business streams to ensure cohesive system functionality.
• Documentation and Testing: Prepare comprehensive functional specifications, RICEFW objects, configuration documents, process flows, and testing documentation to support project delivery and compliance.
• Project Execution: Lead System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), cutover activities, data migration, opening balance migration, and hypercare support to ensure smooth project transitions and operational readiness.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with finance executives, controllers, treasury teams, and business stakeholders to drive successful project delivery, provide strategic guidance, and foster long-term relationships.
• Presales and Mentoring: Support presales activities, including solution design, effort estimation, demonstrations, and proposal preparation. Provide mentorship and quality assurance to junior consultants and project team members to enhance team capabilities.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Certifications: SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP S/4HANA Financial Accounting and Management Accounting. Professional certifications such as CMA, CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 6 years of hands-on SAP Finance and Controlling experience, with a proven track record of delivering full lifecycle SAP FI/CO implementations and SAP S/4HANA Finance projects.

Technical and Functional Skills

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in the following areas:

• SAP S/4HANA Finance, Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), and related modules.
• Universal Journal (ACDOCA), Advanced Asset Accounting, Group Reporting, and Fiori Finance Applications.
• SAP Treasury and Risk Management (TRM), Bank Communication Management (BCM), and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning.
• SAP Migration Cockpit (LTMC), SAP Solution Manager / Cloud ALM, and SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC).
• Localization requirements, including ZATCA e-Invoicing, VAT, Withholding Tax (WHT), and statutory financial reporting.
• IFRS and financial compliance reporting, government finance processes, and public sector fund management.
• Data migration, cutover activities, and hypercare support.
