• Wellbore Trajectory Optimization: Design precise wellbore trajectories that align with geological targets, drilling objectives, and regulatory requirements. • Risk Mitigation and Safety Leadership: Conduct rigorous risk assessments to identify potential challenges such as wellbore instability, formation pressures, and anti-collision hazards. Implement proactive mitigation strategies to safeguard operations, personnel, and assets, fostering a culture of safety and compliance at every stage.
• Real-Time Geosteering and LWD Collaboration: Partner with geologists and Logging-While-Drilling (LWD) specialists to monitor wellbore positioning and formation characteristics in real-time. Your collaboration will ensure adaptive decision-making, enabling precise steering and data-driven adjustments to optimize drilling performance.
• Regulatory and Compliance Excellence: Ensure all drilling plans and operations adhere to environmental, safety, and regulatory standards set by governing bodies. Your attention to compliance will mitigate legal risks and uphold our commitment to sustainable and responsible drilling practices.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze drilling performance data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Your insights will drive continuous optimization, reducing non-productive time (NPT) and enhancing overall operational efficiency.
• Technical Leadership and Documentation: Author comprehensive technical reports, well plans, and post-drilling evaluations tailored for internal stakeholders, management, and regulatory authorities. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster seamless collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including drilling engineers, geologists, reservoir engineers, and production specialists. Your ability to integrate well planning with broader field development strategies will ensure alignment with organizational goals and customer expectations.
• Health, Safety, and Environmental Stewardship: Champion a safety-first culture by enforcing HSE protocols and promoting best practices across all drilling operations. Your leadership will ensure that safety, health, and environmental integrity remain paramount in every decision and action.
• Performance Monitoring and Execution: Oversee drilling progress to ensure strict adherence to approved well plans. Your vigilance will guarantee that operations proceed efficiently, on schedule, and within budgetary constraints.

• Pre-Job Preparation and Tool Optimization: Collaborate with Service Delivery Managers and coordinators to gather critical job-specific information. Proactively analyze pre-job data to recommend the most effective strategies for achieving project objectives, ensuring optimal tool selection and operational readiness.
• Mentorship and Talent Development: Mentor junior well planning engineers and Downhole Tools (DHT) specialists, providing guidance and support to nurture their growth. Your leadership will help cultivate the next generation of drilling talent, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you will bring:

• Experience: A minimum of **three years of hands-on experience** in Directional Drilling and Drilling Engineering, demonstrating a strong track record of successful well planning, execution, and optimization.
