PIPEFITTING TRAINER

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pipefitting Trainer to join our team at ALI A. AL-ZAYER & PARTNER CO in Dammam. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive training programs to develop the technical competencies of our workforce in pipefitting operations. This role requires a deep understanding of industry standards, safety protocols, and hands-on instructional techniques to ensure trainees achieve proficiency in pipefitting techniques, system installations, and maintenance procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Training Delivery: Conduct structured training sessions, both theoretical and practical, to educate employees on pipefitting fundamentals, including blueprint reading, material selection, and system assembly techniques.
• Curriculum Development: Design and update training materials, manuals, and assessments to align with industry best practices and organizational requirements, ensuring compliance with international standards such as ASME and ANSI.
• Safety Compliance: Emphasize the importance of safety in all training activities, ensuring trainees adhere to OSHA and company-specific safety guidelines to mitigate workplace hazards and prevent accidents.
• Hands-On Instruction: Supervise practical training exercises, including pipe cutting, threading, welding, and fitting, to develop trainees' technical skills in real-world scenarios.
• Performance Evaluation: Assess trainees' progress through written exams, practical demonstrations, and skill assessments, providing constructive feedback to enhance their competency levels.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all training tools and equipment, such as pipe benders, cutters, and welding machines, are properly maintained, calibrated, and safe for use during training sessions.
• Industry Collaboration: Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory changes in the pipefitting industry to incorporate relevant advancements into training programs.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of training attendance, progress reports, and certification statuses for all trainees, ensuring compliance with internal and external auditing requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: A diploma or certification in pipefitting, mechanical engineering, or a related field. Additional qualifications in vocational training or adult education are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in pipefitting, with at least 2 years in a training or instructional capacity within an industrial or construction setting.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of pipefitting tools, materials, and techniques, including experience with various piping systems (e.g., carbon steel, stainless steel, PVC, and copper).
• Instructional Skills: Strong communication and presentation abilities to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse groups of trainees, fostering an engaging and interactive learning environment.
• Certifications: Valid certifications such as Certified Pipefitter (CP), Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), or OSHA 10/30-hour safety training are advantageous.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; additional proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
• Personal Attributes: Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous professional development in the field of pipefitting.

Work Environment

This position is based in Dammam and may require occasional travel to project sites or training facilities. The Pipefitting Trainer will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of training initiatives. The role may involve exposure to industrial settings, including workshops, construction sites, or manufacturing plants, where adherence to safety protocols is paramount.
