QA/QC Engineer – Ensuring Excellence in Aluminum Fabrication and Façade Systems

You will be responsible for implementing rigorous quality assurance and control processes to ensure every project meets specifications, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

As a QA/QC Engineer, your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our projects from raw material inspection to final installation. Your responsibilities will span multiple critical areas:

• Factory Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials, including aluminum profiles, sheets, ACP, glass, hardware, gaskets, sealants, and accessories. Verify material certificates, specifications, dimensions, finishes, and compliance with approved sources. Perform inspections at every stage of fabrication—cutting, CNC machining, punching, drilling, assembly, crimping, glazing, sealing, and finishing—to ensure adherence to approved shop drawings and fabrication standards. Verify critical dimensions, tolerances, alignment, squareness, surface finish, and workmanship. Inspect finishing processes such as powder coating, anodizing, and PVDF for color accuracy, thickness, appearance, adhesion, and defects. Monitor glass processing and installation, ensuring dimensions, thickness, edge quality, and visual integrity meet project requirements. Oversee the correct installation of gaskets, setting blocks, sealants, fasteners, brackets, and thermal breaks. Conduct final inspections before dispatch to site and maintain meticulous inspection records, checklists, inspection reports, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Project and Site Quality Control: Review and verify approved shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and project specifications. Collaborate closely with site engineers and project teams to ensure installation quality aligns with project requirements. Perform on-site inspections for curtain walls, windows, doors, glazing, ACP, aluminum cladding, louvers, and other façade systems. Verify installation dimensions, levels, plumbness, alignment, fixing, sealant application, and interfaces with other trades. Oversee mock-ups and ensure they meet approved standards throughout production and installation. Coordinate with third-party testing agencies for critical tests such as water penetration, air leakage, structural performance, and sealant adhesion. Raise and track NCRs, ensuring corrective actions are implemented promptly and effectively.
• QA/QC Documentation and Compliance: Develop and maintain comprehensive Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and Inspection Request (IR/WIR) documentation. Keep detailed records of material inspections, certificates, and calibration logs for measuring and testing equipment. Prepare thorough inspection and testing reports while ensuring strict document control and compliance with project requirements. Provide regular quality updates to management and stakeholders, highlighting key performance metrics and areas for improvement.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as a liaison between Production, Technical Office, Procurement, Project Management, and Site teams to ensure seamless quality integration. Engage with consultants, main contractors, suppliers, and external testing agencies to align on quality expectations and resolve technical challenges. Facilitate quality meetings and technical discussions, contributing to the resolution of production and site issues under the guidance of the Operations Manager.
• Driving Continuous Improvement: Analyze recurring defects and quality issues to identify root causes and recommend actionable solutions. Develop and refine inspection checklists, quality procedures, and training materials to enhance operational efficiency. Conduct quality awareness and toolbox training sessions for production and site personnel. Proactively identify opportunities to optimize manufacturing and installation processes, reducing rework, material wastage, and project delays.
