Job Purpose

As an Associate Product Manager within GSK Saudi Arabia, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the company’s commitment to Vision 2030 and the Saudi Arabian National Agenda by contributing to the localization of expertise and fostering the development of Saudi national capabilities. This position is designed to drive innovation and excellence in the hepatology portfolio through the creation and execution of strategic marketing initiatives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement high-impact strategies that align with brand objectives, elevate customer experience, and deliver sustainable business growth. Your role will be instrumental in shaping the future of hepatology care in Saudi Arabia while ensuring compliance with GSK’s policies and local regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Marketing Leadership: Co-develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy for the hepatology portfolio, ensuring alignment with GSK’s local procedures and global policies. This includes designing and implementing key marketing activities that drive brand awareness, engagement, and market penetration.
  • Operational Excellence: Lead the operational planning process, which encompasses the development of educational programs, support for scientific congresses, and collaboration with healthcare societies to build advocacy and strengthen GSK’s reputation in the hepatology space. Your efforts will contribute to positioning GSK as a trusted leader in the field.
  • Performance Optimization: Drive business performance by identifying growth opportunities, supporting long-range forecasting, and leveraging market insights to inform strategic decisions. Your analytical skills will be critical in assessing market dynamics and competitive landscapes to inform data-driven marketing strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly with sales, medical, market access, compliance, and other key stakeholders to ensure cohesive planning and execution. Your ability to foster collaboration will be essential in aligning diverse teams toward common goals and delivering a unified customer experience.
  • Marketing Communication & Compliance: Develop and execute marketing communication plans, ensuring all promotional and educational materials meet GSK’s codes, policies, and local standard operating procedures. Secure necessary approvals and manage the end-to-end brand management process to maintain consistency and high-quality engagement with healthcare professionals.
  • Field Engagement & Customer Experience: Spend a significant portion of your time in the field (typically over 50%) to engage directly with customers, support the sales team, and gain deep insights into market needs and competitive trends. Your field presence will be vital in refining strategies and ensuring they resonate with the target audience.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, scientific societies, and regulatory bodies. Your ability to navigate these relationships with integrity and professionalism will be critical in driving advocacy and compliance.
  • Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives that support portfolio and brand goals. Your project management skills will be essential in driving initiatives from conception to execution while ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements.

Compliance & Governance

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a thorough understanding of GSK’s codes, policies, procedures, and relevant legal and regulatory requirements. You will implement robust governance processes, partner with stakeholders to manage issues, and determine approved courses of action. Your commitment to GSK’s values—integrity, respect, transparency, and accountability—will be the foundation of your leadership and decision-making.

Basic Qualifications

  • Saudi National.
  • A bachelor’s degree in pharmacy.
  • A valid SCFHS license as a certified pharmacist in Saudi Arabia.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry within Saudi Arabia.
  • Proven track record of strong, consistent performance in previous roles.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required to support field activities and stakeholder engagement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in hepatology, gastroenterology, or broader specialty care.
  • Prior experience in pharmaceutical marketing or related fields.
  • Contribution to or leadership in new product launch activities.
