Senior System Administrator (Windows) - Saudi National- Riyadh, KSA

Position Overview

DeepSource Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior System Administrator (Windows) to join our dynamic IT team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Key Responsibilities

• Server & Infrastructure Management: Oversee the deployment, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and other core services to ensure high availability and reliability.
• System Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor system health, performance, and security using advanced tools such as Microsoft System Center, Event Viewer, and third-party monitoring solutions. Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
• Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce robust security policies, patch management strategies, and compliance protocols in alignment with industry standards and organizational requirements. Conduct regular audits and vulnerability assessments to mitigate risks and protect critical assets.
• Virtualization & Cloud Integration: Manage and optimize virtualized environments using Hyper-V or VMware, and collaborate with cloud teams to integrate on-premises systems with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) for scalable and resilient IT solutions.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, cybersecurity specialists, and application developers, to design, implement, and support integrated IT solutions. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior IT staff to foster skill development and team growth.
• Project & Change Management: Lead and participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure expansions. Ensure smooth change management processes with minimal disruption to business operations.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, procedures, and incident reports. Generate performance metrics and reports to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a System Administrator with a strong focus on Windows Server administration. Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, PowerShell scripting, and Microsoft 365 administration. Familiarity with networking protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and backup solutions is essential.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong analytical mindset, and excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Local Requirements: Must be a Saudi national with the legal right to work in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Fluency in Arabic and English is preferred to facilitate effective communication within the organization and with local vendors.
