ABAP Consultant - BTP

Position Overview

Müller’s Solutions, a leading provider of innovative IT and business transformation solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated ABAP Consultant – BTP (Business Technology Platform) to join our dynamic team in Jeddah. This role is ideal for professionals with deep expertise in SAP ABAP development and a strong understanding of SAP’s Business Technology Platform, who are eager to contribute to cutting-edge projects that drive digital transformation for our clients. As an ABAP Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing ABAP-based solutions that enhance business processes, integrate systems, and leverage the full potential of SAP’s modern technology stack.

Key Responsibilities

• SAP ABAP Development: Develop, customize, and enhance ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF) to meet client-specific requirements. Ensure adherence to SAP best practices and coding standards.
• SAP BTP Integration: Leverage SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) to integrate on-premise and cloud-based systems, enabling seamless data flow and process automation. Utilize SAP BTP services such as SAP Integration Suite, SAP Fiori, and SAP CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model) to deliver scalable and future-proof solutions.
• Technical Architecture & Design: Collaborate with solution architects and business stakeholders to design robust technical solutions that align with client objectives. Provide expert guidance on ABAP and BTP-related technical decisions, including system landscape optimization and performance tuning.
• Cloud & Hybrid Solutions: Develop and deploy ABAP-based applications in hybrid environments, ensuring compatibility and interoperability between on-premise SAP systems and cloud solutions. Stay abreast of emerging trends in SAP’s cloud offerings and incorporate them into project deliveries.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in ABAP and BTP environments. Provide timely support to clients during implementation, testing, and post-go-live phases, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Client Engagement & Collaboration: Work closely with clients, project managers, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define scope, and deliver high-quality solutions. Act as a trusted advisor, translating business needs into technical specifications and ensuring alignment with project goals.
• Continuous Learning & Innovation: Proactively research and evaluate new SAP technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance service offerings. Contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team and participate in professional development opportunities to stay at the forefront of the industry.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., SAP ABAP, SAP BTP) will be considered a strong advantage.
• Technical Expertise: Proven experience in SAP ABAP development, including proficiency in ABAP Objects, ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), and SAP Fiori. Hands-on experience with SAP BTP, SAP Integration Suite, and cloud integration tools is highly desirable.
• Programming Skills: Strong command of programming languages such as ABAP, JavaScript, and SQL. Familiarity with SAP CAP, OData services, and RESTful APIs is a plus.
• Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues efficiently. A methodical approach to debugging and root cause analysis is essential.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Project Management: Experience in managing SAP projects, including planning, execution, and delivery. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and SAP Activate framework is beneficial.
• Certifications: SAP ABAP certification or SAP BTP certification is preferred but not mandatory. Additional certifications in SAP Fiori, SAP CAP, or cloud integration will be a valuable asset.
