As a key member of the Legal Entity Control team, you will be immersed in end-to-end financial management, working closely with line-of-business finance teams, operations, and senior leadership to uphold the highest standards of financial integrity. Your analytical rigor and proactive approach will be instrumental in refining processes, resolving complex financial inquiries, and enhancing reporting accuracy—all while fostering a culture of transparency and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, your responsibilities will include:

• Monthly Financial Close & Control: Lead the month-end close process, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of parent/child accounting, equity pick-up transactions, and inter-entity reconciliations. Monitor general ledger balances for anomalies and drive corrective actions to maintain financial health.
• Analytical Review & Reporting: Conduct thorough analytical reviews of the legal entity’s financial statements, preparing critical reports for the Monthly Controller’s Book and contributing to regulatory filings. Provide insightful commentary on financial performance and variances for both the legal entity and line-of-business stakeholders.
• Issue Resolution & Stakeholder Engagement: Investigate and resolve ad-hoc financial queries with precision, collaborating with internal teams to address discrepancies and ensure alignment with firm-wide standards.
• Compliance & Process Improvement: Assist in reviewing the booking model and monitoring compliance with Legal Entity Control standards. Participate in firmwide initiatives aimed at streamlining reporting infrastructure and enhancing controllership practices.
• Intercompany & Consolidation Oversight: Monitor intercompany activities, analyze variances, and ensure accurate consolidation and netting of financial positions across the organization.
• Strategic Contribution: Engage in high-impact projects focused on process optimization, regulatory reporting, and controller-led initiatives that drive operational efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, you will bring:

• Education & Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline, coupled with 3+ years of finance or accounting experience. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a significant advantage.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Excel (including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis) and PowerPoint (for executive presentations). Familiarity with financial reporting tools and ERP systems is a plus.
• Analytical & Financial Acumen: A keen eye for detail, with the ability to interpret income statements, balance sheets, and financial variances. Strong quantitative skills to identify trends, assess risks, and recommend actionable insights.
• Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to articulate financial insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Proven ability to act as a liaison between finance teams, operations, and senior leadership.
• Leadership & Adaptability: A self-starter with a proactive mindset, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and resilience to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure setting.
