الوصف الوظيفي

Manager Risk Management – Lead Strategic Risk Oversight for Large-Scale Construction Projects

Join Mobco Group as a **Manager Risk Management**, where you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the success of our most ambitious construction and mega projects. In this dynamic position, you will drive a proactive risk management framework, ensuring that project objectives—spanning cost efficiency, schedule adherence, quality assurance, safety compliance, and contractual obligations—are protected through rigorous analysis, mitigation strategies, and continuous monitoring.

As a key member of our project leadership team, you will leverage your deep expertise in construction risk management to identify, assess, and control risks across all project phases, from design and procurement to construction and commissioning. Your strategic insights will empower stakeholders to make data-driven decisions, minimize disruptions, and deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a broad spectrum of responsibilities, ensuring that risk management is seamlessly integrated into every facet of project execution:

  • Comprehensive Risk Identification & Register Development: Lead the systematic identification of risks across all project phases, including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Develop and maintain a dynamic risk register, categorizing risks into technical, commercial, contractual, operational, safety, and external factors. Facilitate regular risk workshops with project stakeholders and discipline engineers to ensure a collaborative and proactive approach.
  • Advanced Risk Analysis & Evaluation: Conduct in-depth qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, evaluating the probability and impact of risks on critical project parameters such as cost, schedule, and quality. Utilize advanced techniques, including schedule risk analysis and Monte Carlo simulations, to identify key risk drivers and model potential outcomes.
  • Strategic Risk Mitigation & Control: Design and implement mitigation and contingency plans tailored to identified risks. Collaborate closely with planning, cost control, and engineering teams to execute mitigation actions and monitor their effectiveness. Escalate high-impact risks to senior management with actionable recommendations to ensure timely intervention.
  • Integration with Project Controls: Embed risk management processes within project planning and cost control functions. Work synergistically with Planning Managers to assess schedule impacts and with Cost Control Managers to evaluate financial exposure. Support Earned Value Management (EVM) and project forecasting activities to maintain alignment with project objectives.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Prepare concise yet comprehensive risk reports, dashboards, and executive summaries to communicate risk status effectively. Present updates to project management and client representatives, ensuring transparency and accountability. Maintain meticulous documentation for risk audits, compliance, and governance requirements.
  • Contractual & Claims Support: Assist in identifying risk-related contractual exposures and support delay analysis for claims preparation, including extensions of time (EOT) and disruption claims. Evaluate the impact of risks on contractual obligations and project milestones to mitigate potential disputes.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as a bridge between technical teams, project managers, procurement specialists, and subcontractors. Facilitate risk review meetings to foster cross-functional alignment and ensure that critical risks are communicated clearly to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

We are seeking a seasoned professional with a proven track record in construction risk management, equipped with the technical acumen and strategic vision to excel in this role:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline is required, complemented by 12+ years of hands-on experience in construction risk management or project controls.
  • Demonstrable expertise in mega construction projects, including infrastructure, hospitality, industrial developments, or large-scale construction initiatives, is essential.
  • A deep understanding of construction project lifecycles and execution methodologies, with a focus on risk mitigation and proactive control strategies.
  • Experience within the GCC/Saudi Arabia construction environment is highly preferred, given the regional context and regulatory landscape.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to translate complex risk data into actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.

If you are a forward-thinking risk management leader passionate about driving excellence in large-scale construction projects, we invite you to join Mobco Group and contribute to the delivery of world-class infrastructure solutions.
