Role Overview

The Head Waiter at KRAIV plays a pivotal leadership role in ensuring the seamless operation of the dining floor. This full-time, on-site position is based in Jeddah and requires a hands-on approach to managing the waitstaff team, optimizing guest flow, and delivering impeccable service from arrival to departure. The Head Waiter is responsible for greeting and seating guests, assigning tables, and overseeing reservations to maintain an organized and welcoming dining environment. Additionally, the role involves supervising order taking, coordinating with the kitchen and bar to ensure timely food and beverage delivery, and addressing any service-related concerns with professionalism and discretion.

The Head Waiter also serves as a mentor to the waitstaff, providing guidance on service standards, training new team members, and fostering a culture of excellence. This position ensures that all dining areas are meticulously prepared, clean, and compliant with health and safety regulations. Furthermore, the Head Waiter assists guests with menu explanations, makes personalized recommendations, and monitors overall satisfaction to uphold KRAIV’s reputation for outstanding hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the dining floor operations, including guest seating, table assignments, and reservation management.
• Supervise the waitstaff team, ensuring adherence to service standards and providing coaching as needed.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to facilitate smooth order processing and timely food delivery.
• Address guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Conduct pre-shift and post-shift checks to verify table settings, cleanliness, and compliance with hygiene standards.
• Assist guests with menu selections, offering knowledgeable recommendations based on their preferences.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and report any service issues to management for resolution.
• Train and onboard new waitstaff members, ensuring they are well-versed in KRAIV’s service protocols and operational procedures.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism, reliability, and teamwork within a diverse and dynamic work environment.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess a strong foundation in food and beverage service, with prior experience in a supervisory or lead position within a restaurant, hotel, or similar hospitality setting.
