About the Role

Key Responsibilities

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the organization’s CI/CD pipeline to streamline software delivery processes. Your core duties will include:

• CI/CD Pipeline Development: Design and implement end-to-end CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes, ensuring seamless integration and delivery of applications.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain scripts and configurations using tools like Terraform and Google Cloud Deployment Manager to provision and manage cloud infrastructure efficiently.
• Agile Collaboration: Work collaboratively in an agile environment, adapting to evolving requirements and participating in design discussions to align technical solutions with business objectives.
• Microservices Architecture: Contribute to the design and development of microservices connectivity, ensuring scalability, resilience, and optimal performance.
• Cross-Functional Teamwork: Partner with developers, testers, and other stakeholders to adhere to coding standards, gather user feedback, and enhance the overall user experience through iterative improvements.
• Documentation and Prototyping: Create and review functional requirement documents, design specifications, and system requirement specifications. Develop high-quality mockups and prototypes to validate and refine system designs.
• Automation Enhancement: Drive the automation of processes from design to delivery, reducing manual intervention and increasing operational efficiency.
• Cloud Management: Oversee and manage cloud environments, with a focus on optimizing managed services and transitioning applications to adopt Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) models.
• Performance and Cost Optimization: Monitor cloud resources and applications to ensure peak performance, availability, and security while implementing cost-reduction strategies without compromising reliability.
• Incident Management: Lead incident response efforts, from logging and resolution to conducting post-incident reviews to prevent recurrence and drive continuous improvement.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure all systems and processes adhere to industry-leading security standards and best practices, safeguarding organizational assets and customer data.
• Knowledge Sharing and Training: Collaborate with other teams to provide training on DevOps tools, methodologies, and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Cluster and Database Management: Oversee Kubernetes clusters, ELK stack, MongoDB, Redis, RDBMS, and other databases to maintain high availability, performance, and data integrity.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you will possess the following qualifications and technical proficiencies:

• Education: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in cloud deployment, CI/CD pipeline setup, and DevOps practices.
• Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes orchestration.
  • Proficiency in DevOps tools including Jenkins, Git, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, and similar platforms.
  • Experience with managed cloud services, particularly Google Cloud Functions, Google Cloud Run, and Google Cloud SQL (AWS equivalents are also acceptable).
  • Strong command of Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Google Cloud Deployment Manager.
  • Hands-on experience with microservices architecture, particularly using Spring Cloud.
  • Advanced skills in code automation, CI/CD pipeline development, and cloud application management.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and a passion for continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends.
