Construction Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Engineer to join our dynamic team, specializing in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects within the refinery and petrochemical sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in piping and civil construction management, with a proven track record of leading large-scale projects from the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) phase through to execution. This role demands a strategic thinker who can drive process improvements, optimize field operations, and ensure seamless coordination between on-site teams and support functions.

Key Responsibilities

The Construction Engineer will play a pivotal role in the following areas:

• EPC Construction Management: Oversee and execute piping and civil construction activities with a focus on precision, safety, and adherence to project timelines. Demonstrate hands-on leadership in managing construction phases, ensuring alignment with engineering specifications and regulatory standards.
• System Setup & Coordination: Lead and mentor India-based support teams, fostering a collaborative environment that bridges communication gaps between project sites and corporate offices. Act as a liaison to streamline workflows and enhance operational transparency across all project stakeholders.
• Process Improvement: Proactively identify inefficiencies in field operations and implement data-driven solutions to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and mitigate risks. Utilize analytical tools and methodologies to assess project performance and recommend corrective actions.
• Technical Leadership: Leverage advanced technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, UPV (Unified Project Viewer), and Palantir, to generate actionable insights, monitor project metrics, and support decision-making processes.

Qualifications & Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Experience: Minimum of five years of hands-on experience as a System Engineer, with a specialization in refinery and petrochemical projects. Prior involvement in at least two Minimum Refinery & Petrochemical projects (FEED or EPC) is mandatory.
• Technical Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in piping and civil construction management, with a deep understanding of industry best practices, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
• Analytical Proficiency: Strong command of advanced analytical tools, including Microsoft Excel, Power BI, UPV, and Palantir, to drive data-informed decision-making and process optimization.
• Leadership & Collaboration: Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Problem-Solving: A proactive and analytical mindset, capable of identifying challenges in field operations and implementing effective solutions to enhance project outcomes.
