As a **Senior Design Instrumentation and Control Engineer**, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire spectrum of instrumentation and control (I&C) design activities, ensuring compliance with international standards, and driving excellence in engineering deliverables. Your strategic leadership will be instrumental in managing design reviews, coordinating with contractors, consultants, and cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives with precision and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a broad range of critical responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Design Leadership and Coordination: Lead the preparation of comprehensive specifications, design criteria, and master documents while coordinating with external contractors, consultants, and internal engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration and adherence to project requirements.
• Technical Review and Validation: Conduct rigorous reviews of EPC-submitted engineering documents, including Master Documents Lists (MDL), P&IDs, General Arrangement (GA) layouts, design calculations, and CFD modeling to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
• Commissioning and Performance Assurance: Oversee the review of FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) procedures and reports, construction method statements, and commissioning protocols to guarantee reliability and optimal performance of the power plant systems.
• Vendor and Procurement Oversight: Evaluate vendor-proposed designs, drawings, and materials, while reviewing procurement strategies to ensure alignment with project specifications and quality benchmarks.
• Risk Management and Documentation: Lead hazard assessments (Hazop/Hazid), SIL (Safety Integrity Level) evaluations, and risk mitigation strategies to enhance system safety and operational resilience. Additionally, manage change orders, claims evaluations, and finalization of close-out reports for the LSTK Steam Power Plant Gas Conversion Project.
• Field and As-Built Documentation: Ensure accurate as-built drawings, IFC (Interface Control Document), AFC (As-Built Change), and AFI (As-Built Information) documentation to reflect real-world implementations and support future maintenance and operations.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a bridge between technical teams, project managers, and external stakeholders, fostering effective communication and collaboration to drive project success.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess:

• Advanced Educational Background: A **Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering**, accredited by the Saudi Council of Engineers, with a strong foundation in electrical, mechanical, and process engineering principles.
• Proven Expertise: A minimum of **10 years of hands-on experience** in large thermal power projects, with a deep understanding of instrumentation and control systems in combined cycle and steam power plants.
• Technical Proficiency: Extensive knowledge of **international engineering standards** (e.g., IEC, ANSI, ASME) and proficiency in industry-leading design software tools. Familiarity with **MS Office Suite** and **MIS (Management Information Systems)** is essential.
• Leadership and Communication: Exceptional **leadership abilities**, strong **technical communication skills**, and the capacity to articulate complex engineering concepts clearly in both written and verbal formats. Fluency in **English** is mandatory.
