Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Odborný laboratorní pracovník - HLA to join our specialized immunogenetics laboratory team. This role is dedicated to advancing critical research and diagnostic services in the field of histocompatibility and immunogenetics, with a primary focus on HLA genotyping and compatibility testing for hematopoietic stem cell transplant patients and their donors. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in performing advanced genetic analyses, interpreting results, and contributing to specialized applications in pharmacogenetics and disease association studies.

Key Responsibilities

The core duties of this position include:

• HLA Genotyping and Compatibility Testing: Conducting precise HLA genotyping for patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, as well as determining HLA compatibility with potential donors to ensure optimal transplant outcomes.
• Specialized Testing and Applications: Performing HLA testing for disease associations, pharmacogenetics, and other advanced applications to support clinical and research initiatives.
• Advanced Genetic Methodologies: Utilizing state-of-the-art genetic techniques such as Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), PCR-SSP, and real-time PCR to process and analyze samples with the highest level of accuracy and reliability.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Evaluating experimental results using specialized software tools, documenting findings, and preparing comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Quality Assurance and Compliance: Adhering to strict laboratory protocols, maintaining meticulous records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards in healthcare and genetic testing.
• Collaboration and Communication: Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including clinicians, researchers, and laboratory staff, to facilitate seamless workflows and contribute to scientific advancements.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: A university degree in a natural science or medical field, with a strong foundation in genetics, immunology, or a related discipline.
• Professional Registration: Valid registration for work in the healthcare sector, ensuring compliance with professional and ethical standards.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate with international colleagues and stakeholders.
• Personal Attributes: Demonstrated reliability, responsibility, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster a collaborative work environment.
• Adaptability and Learning Agility: A willingness to continuously update knowledge and skills, particularly in emerging genetic technologies and methodologies.
• Work Experience: Prior experience in a genetic laboratory is highly advantageous, as is possession of an attestation (specialization) in genetics or immunology.
