Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

The Medical Science Liaison will play a critical role in driving medical excellence and supporting our mission to improve health outcomes for patients with rare diseases. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Scientific Engagement: Develop and maintain robust, credible scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and researchers specializing in Rare Diseases. Your ability to engage with these stakeholders will be essential in gathering and disseminating critical medical insights.
• Insight Generation: Identify and address treatment gaps, unmet patient needs, and emerging scientific trends. You will be responsible for collecting and communicating these insights to our Medical Affairs and cross-functional teams to inform strategic decision-making.
• Medical Affairs Support: Actively participate in Medical Affairs initiatives, including advisory boards, scientific meetings, congresses, and educational programs. Your contributions will help shape the direction of our medical strategy and ensure alignment with the latest clinical evidence.
• Clinical Collaboration: Collaborate with clinical research teams to stay abreast of the latest developments in clinical trials, evidence-based medicine, and therapeutic advancements. Your scientific acumen will be vital in translating complex medical information into actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline. Advanced degrees or certifications in a relevant field are highly desirable.
• A minimum of 2+ years of experience in Medical Affairs or a closely related scientific role within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry. Prior experience in Rare Diseases is strongly preferred, as it will enable you to contribute effectively to our specialized focus areas.
• Demonstrated expertise in clinical research, scientific literature, and evidence-based medicine. Your ability to critically evaluate and interpret clinical data will be essential in driving informed medical discussions.
• Proven track record of engaging with KOLs and specialist physicians. Your interpersonal skills and scientific credibility will be key to building and sustaining these critical relationships.
