Medical Advisor

Position Overview

We are partnering with a globally recognized pharmaceutical leader to recruit a highly skilled Medical Advisor – Oncology to join their dynamic team based in Riyadh. This pivotal role is designed for a seasoned professional with a strong background in Medical Affairs, particularly within the oncology therapeutic area, to drive scientific excellence and support the company’s strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted medical expert, fostering collaboration with internal departments and external stakeholders while ensuring compliance with global and local policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Scientific and Medical Expertise: Develop and maintain deep scientific and medical knowledge in oncology to provide accurate, evidence-based insights and guidance.
• Scientific Engagement: Facilitate meaningful scientific exchange and medical information dissemination to healthcare professionals, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and internal teams.
• Clinical Presentations and Medical Inquiries: Deliver high-impact clinical presentations and respond to medical inquiries in alignment with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Patient and Product Support: Provide medical support for patients and formulary access products, ensuring adherence to global and local guidelines.
• Medical Activity Development: Support the planning, implementation, and execution of medical activities, including investigator-initiated studies (IIS) and observational research, in compliance with relevant SOPs and ethical standards.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and nurture strong relationships with KOLs, healthcare professionals, and medical organizations to enhance the company’s scientific reputation and market presence.
• Cross-Functional Support: Act as a medical expert to assist Marketing, Sales, and Regulatory teams in addressing scientific and medical challenges, thereby contributing to the achievement of business goals.
• Training and Education: Serve as a key resource for internal medical and sales training programs, ensuring teams are equipped with the latest scientific and therapeutic insights.
• Conference and Meeting Participation: Represent the company at relevant scientific conferences and meetings, developing summaries of key data, presentations, or symposiums to disseminate critical findings.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Nationality: Due to Saudization requirements, only Saudi nationals will be considered for this position.
• Education: A medical degree (MD), Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), or a relevant life-science qualification from an accredited institution.
• Experience: Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical industry, with a proven track record in oncology Medical Affairs.
• Therapeutic Expertise: Demonstrated deep understanding of oncology therapeutic areas and familiarity with the Saudi healthcare landscape, including regulatory frameworks and market dynamics.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional scientific communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to engage effectively with both external experts and internal stakeholders.
• Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment, bridging gaps between medical, commercial, and regulatory teams.
