About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our dynamic finance team. In this pivotal leadership position, you will oversee all accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls, with a keen eye for process optimization and risk mitigation. Key Responsibilities

• Financial Leadership: Provide strategic direction and oversight for all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate, timely, and compliant financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop, monitor, and analyze annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts to support informed decision-making and resource allocation.
• Internal Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensure compliance with policies, and mitigate financial risks.
• Tax Compliance: Oversee tax planning, preparation, and filing activities to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local tax regulations while optimizing tax efficiency.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Strategic Initiatives: Partner with executive leadership to evaluate financial performance, identify growth opportunities, and implement cost-saving measures.
• Audit & Compliance: Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of findings and adherence to audit recommendations.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role as a Controller or Assistant Controller.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), Microsoft Excel (including advanced functions and pivot tables), and financial software.
• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels.
• Leadership: Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, and driving operational excellence.
• Compliance & Ethics: Deep understanding of GAAP, SOX, and other regulatory requirements, with a commitment to ethical business practices and transparency.
