• Adherence to Standards: Edit manuscripts to meet the rigorous standards of academic writing, eliminating unclear, illogical, or unidiomatic sentences. Follow job-specific guidelines and format manuscripts according to the requirements of the target journal, ensuring compliance with submission criteria.
• Critical Evaluation: Assess study design, methodology, statistical analysis, and interpretation with a discerning eye to identify potential weaknesses, inconsistencies, or areas for improvement, thereby enhancing the overall quality and credibility of the research.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: A PhD degree in Nuclear Medicine or Medical Physics is mandatory, providing the foundational expertise required to evaluate and refine specialized scientific content.
• Publication Record: A strong publication history, including 5–10 or more first-author publications, demonstrating your ability to contribute meaningfully to academic discourse and your familiarity with the publishing process.
• Peer Review Experience: Prior involvement in peer review processes, enabling you to critically assess research quality, identify strengths and weaknesses, and provide constructive feedback to authors.
• Scientific Acumen: A proven ability to critically evaluate scientific content, ensuring discipline-specific accuracy and alignment with established research standards and methodologies.
• Language Proficiency: Excellent written English skills, coupled with a meticulous attention to detail, to refine manuscripts while maintaining their original intent and scientific integrity.
• Preferred Experience: Prior experience in scientific editing or academic publishing is advantageous, as it demonstrates your familiarity with the nuances of scholarly communication and the editorial process.
