Cost Control Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cost Control Manager to join our dynamic team in Jeddah. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our financial processes to ensure cost efficiency, accuracy, and compliance across all operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cost accounting, financial analysis, and supply chain management, with a proven track record of driving cost-saving initiatives in the FMCG industry. This position requires a strategic thinker who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to maintain financial integrity and support sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop, monitor, and manage comprehensive budgets, forecasts, and expense reports to align financial performance with organizational goals. Ensure all financial data is accurate, timely, and compliant with internal policies and external regulations.
• Cost Tracking and Analysis: Maintain an updated database of all costs and prices, providing real-time insights into cost variations and advising management on strategic adjustments. Conduct in-depth cost analyses to identify opportunities for savings and efficiency improvements.
• Supplier and Vendor Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to negotiate favorable terms, secure cost-effective partnerships, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products and services. Collaborate closely with the Purchasing Department to approve purchases and validate cost structures.
• Inventory and Stock Control: Perform periodic physical counts of affiliate and distributor stock to verify accuracy and prevent discrepancies. Conduct regular checks on restaurant food inventory to ensure alignment with cashier-reported totals, minimizing waste and optimizing procurement.
• Financial Compliance and Reporting: Analyze invoices to confirm that received products and services match purchase orders in both quantity and cost. Serve as a liaison between auditors and the Supply Chain team during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and insights to support compliance and transparency.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Finance, Operations, and other departments to ensure seamless cost tracking, reporting, and alignment with strategic objectives. Provide actionable recommendations to enhance cost efficiency and departmental spending within approved budgets.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are a plus.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in cost control, preferably within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry. Direct experience in a multibranch Food & Beverage (F&B) brand is essential.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in cost accounting principles, manufacturing cost structures, and menu engineering. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and generate actionable insights. Experience with financial software and ERP systems is highly desirable.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organizational abilities. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a focus on results and continuous improvement.
