Subcontracts Lead (Saudi Arabia)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Subcontracts Lead to join our dynamic team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and manage all subcontracting activities, ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in contract administration, negotiation, and procurement, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Contract Management: Develop, review, and administer subcontracts in alignment with company standards and legal frameworks. Ensure all agreements are accurately documented, executed, and maintained throughout their lifecycle.
• Supplier Engagement: Identify, evaluate, and engage with potential subcontractors, fostering strong relationships to secure favorable terms and mitigate risks. Conduct thorough due diligence to assess supplier capabilities and financial stability.
• Negotiation & Execution: Lead negotiations with subcontractors to achieve cost-effective and mutually beneficial agreements. Collaborate with legal and procurement teams to finalize contracts that align with project objectives and budget constraints.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Monitor subcontracting activities to ensure adherence to contractual obligations, company policies, and regulatory standards. Implement risk mitigation strategies to address potential issues proactively.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including project managers, legal advisors, and finance teams, to align subcontracting activities with broader business goals. Provide regular updates and reports on subcontracting performance and risks.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline subcontracting processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs. Recommend and implement best practices to optimize procurement and contract administration workflows.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Law, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in subcontracts management, procurement, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience in the defense, aerospace, or engineering sectors is highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong command of contract management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with Saudi Arabian legal and regulatory frameworks governing subcontracting is essential.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and lead teams in a multicultural environment.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a significant advantage.
