Warehouse Team Lead

Position Overview

PepsiCo is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Team Lead to oversee and optimize warehouse operations in our Dammam facility. This pivotal role requires a dynamic leader who can drive efficiency, ensure safety compliance, and foster a high-performance culture within the team. The Warehouse Team Lead will play a critical part in maintaining seamless supply chain operations while aligning with PepsiCo’s commitment to operational excellence and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of warehouse associates to achieve daily operational goals, including order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, and on-time deliveries. Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment while promoting professional growth and development among team members.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping processes. Implement best practices to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall operational efficiency. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, cycle times, and inventory turnover to drive continuous improvement.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to PepsiCo’s safety protocols, local regulations, and industry standards to maintain a secure and compliant work environment. Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and training sessions to minimize workplace hazards and prevent incidents. Champion a culture of safety awareness and accountability across the team.
• Inventory Management: Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to maintain optimal inventory levels, minimize stockouts, and reduce excess inventory. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure accurate record-keeping. Implement strategies to enhance inventory visibility and accuracy.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and technological integration to streamline warehouse operations. Evaluate and recommend the adoption of innovative tools and methodologies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the warehouse.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with supply chain, production, and sales teams to align warehouse operations with broader business objectives. Provide timely updates on inventory status, shipment schedules, and potential bottlenecks to ensure seamless coordination across departments. Participate in strategic planning sessions to support long-term operational goals.
• Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear expectations, and provide constructive feedback to team members. Address performance issues proactively and implement corrective actions to maintain high standards of productivity and quality. Recognize and reward top performers to reinforce a culture of excellence.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Alternatively, a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive warehouse or logistics experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Prior experience in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Familiarity with inventory control software, ERP systems, and data analytics tools is a plus.
• Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, resolve conflicts, and foster a positive work culture. Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to make data-driven decisions under pressure.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic. Ability to interact effectively with team members, management, and external stakeholders.
• Safety and Compliance: In-depth knowledge of warehouse safety standards, OSHA regulations, and local labor laws. Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

Work Environment

This role is based in PepsiCo’s state-of-the-art warehouse facility in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The position involves a mix of office-based tasks and hands-on warehouse operations, with occasional travel to other PepsiCo sites as needed. The Warehouse Team Lead will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that demands adaptability, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
