Key Responsibilities

The Civil Engineering Site Lead will play a critical role in the successful execution of civil engineering projects. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Project Management: Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of civil engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and laborers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment that encourages innovation and accountability.
• Technical Oversight: Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with engineering designs, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements, addressing any deviations or challenges proactively.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between the project team, clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities, ensuring clear and consistent communication to align expectations and resolve issues efficiently.
• Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain robust quality control measures to ensure all construction activities and materials meet or exceed industry standards and project specifications.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions, delays, or safety incidents, safeguarding both personnel and project integrity.
• Resource Allocation: Optimize the use of labor, equipment, and materials to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness, while ensuring sustainable and environmentally responsible practices.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of project progress, including daily logs, progress reports, and compliance documentation, for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, preferably in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
• Professional certification, such as a Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent, is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale civil engineering projects, with a strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of local and international building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams in high-pressure environments.
• Proficiency in project management software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project, and strong analytical abilities to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Fluency in English is required; additional proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
