Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Road and Civil Engineer at WSP, you will be entrusted with a diverse range of responsibilities that encompass both technical leadership and project management. Your core duties will include:

• Project Leadership: Lead the planning, design, and execution of complex road and civil engineering projects, ensuring adherence to international standards, regulatory requirements, and client specifications. Oversee project teams to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
• Technical Expertise: Provide advanced technical guidance in road design, pavement engineering, drainage systems, traffic engineering, and civil infrastructure development. Utilize cutting-edge software and methodologies to optimize designs for efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a key liaison between WSP, clients, government authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders. Facilitate clear communication, resolve technical challenges, and ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines.
• Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous quality control processes to validate design accuracy, compliance with codes, and adherence to best practices. Conduct site inspections and reviews to ensure construction aligns with approved plans and specifications.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and professional attributes:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PE, or CEng) are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in road and civil engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership role. Proven track record in managing large-scale infrastructure projects from conception to completion.
• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley MicroStation, Civil Designer, or similar tools. Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and GIS applications is a plus.
• Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is required. Registration with a recognized engineering board is mandatory.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Arabic is advantageous but not mandatory.
