Key Responsibilities

As the Lead Network Engineer, you will lead a team of network professionals to ensure the seamless operation of our enterprise network infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:

• Network Design and Architecture: Develop and implement comprehensive network designs, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and cloud-based solutions, to meet business requirements while ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Infrastructure Deployment and Management: Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and monitoring tools, to optimize performance and minimize downtime.
• Security and Compliance: Lead initiatives to enhance network security by implementing advanced threat detection, encryption protocols, access controls, and compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and PCI DSS.
• Team Leadership and Mentorship: Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to junior engineers and support staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the team.
• Troubleshooting and Incident Management: Diagnose and resolve complex network issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement preventive measures and improve system resilience.
• Vendor and Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders to evaluate new technologies, negotiate contracts, and align network solutions with organizational objectives.
• Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Utilize advanced monitoring tools to proactively identify performance bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and security vulnerabilities, implementing corrective actions to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity. Experience in enterprise-level network environments is essential.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS), routing and switching technologies, network security principles, and cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide technical teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving and Analytical Thinking: Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting abilities to resolve intricate network issues efficiently and effectively.
• Project Management: Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
