Finance & Revenue Cycle Management Specialist (Saudi Arabia)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Finance & Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Specialist to join KAUST Health in Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of financial management, healthcare revenue cycle operations, insurance claims processing, billing validation, reconciliation, budgeting, and financial reporting. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in healthcare finance and revenue cycle management, capable of collaborating with KAUST Health leadership, finance teams, healthcare operators, insurance providers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless financial operations and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Oversight & Validation: Review, validate, and ensure the accuracy and compliance of healthcare invoices, quotations, and financial transactions. Identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures to maintain financial integrity.
• Revenue Cycle Management (RCM): Lead and monitor the end-to-end healthcare RCM processes, including insurance claim validation, submission, and tracking. Ensure timely and accurate processing to minimize claim rejections and denials.
• Insurance & Claims Management: Validate insurance claims, oversee their submission to insurance companies, and manage the resolution of rejections, denials, and resubmissions. Implement strategies to improve collections and reduce financial losses.
• Reconciliation & Compliance: Conduct thorough reconciliations of claims, payments, and accounts with healthcare operators and insurers. Ensure adherence to financial controls, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
• Budgeting & Financial Reporting: Prepare, monitor, and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and expenditure controls for KAUST Health. Develop monthly financial reports, variance analyses, revenue performance metrics, and RCM KPIs for senior management review.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between KAUST Finance, Health leadership, healthcare operators, and insurers to resolve financial discrepancies, claims issues, and operational challenges. Support audits and drive process improvements to enhance revenue cycle efficiency.
• Risk Identification & Optimization: Proactively identify financial risks, discrepancies, and revenue optimization opportunities. Recommend corrective actions and strategic initiatives to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess a strong academic foundation and extensive professional experience in healthcare finance and revenue cycle management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex financial operations within the healthcare sector, with a focus on insurance claims, billing validation, and financial reporting.

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field. A degree in Finance or Accounting is highly preferred.
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent are advantageous.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience in finance, accounting, or healthcare revenue cycle management.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a leadership, senior specialist, supervisory, or equivalent role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in healthcare finance, medical billing, insurance claims processing, and financial operations.
  • Proven experience in insurance claim validation, submission, reconciliation, denial management, and collections.
  • Strong background in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
  • Hands-on experience managing healthcare budgets and expenditures with a focus on cost control and efficiency.
  • Experience collaborating with healthcare operators/providers and insurance companies to resolve billing and payment discrepancies.
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive financial and RCM reports for senior management and stakeholders.
