Key Responsibilities

The Junior Software Developer will play a pivotal role in supporting the ERP platform’s evolution by executing a range of development tasks under supervision. Your responsibilities will expand as your skills and confidence grow, ultimately leading to independent ownership of assigned modules. Below are the core duties and expectations associated with this role:

• Defect Resolution and Feature Development: Assist in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving software defects across the application. Under the mentorship of senior team members, you will contribute to small feature implementations while adhering to established coding standards and best practices.
• Frontend Development with Vue.js: Design and implement user interface components, including data tables, filters, and interactive forms, using the Vue.js framework. Your work will ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience across the platform.
• Backend API Development: Develop and maintain server-side API endpoints to facilitate data retrieval and storage. You will follow the existing architectural patterns within the codebase to ensure consistency, scalability, and performance.
• Database Management: Write and optimize database queries to support application functionality. Additionally, you will assist with database migrations, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to operations.
• Multilingual Support and Localization: Maintain and enhance interface translations for English, Arabic, and Hindi, including adjustments for right-to-left (RTL) layouts. Your attention to detail will ensure a polished and accessible user experience for diverse audiences.
• Quality Assurance and Testing: Conduct thorough testing of your work, including validation on various screen sizes and devices, to ensure compatibility and functionality. Prior to submitting code for review, you will perform rigorous checks to identify and address potential issues.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain clear and concise records of your work, including problem-solving processes and technical decisions. Your contributions to team documentation will support knowledge retention and collaboration.
• Business Domain Learning: Develop a deep understanding of the ERP platform’s business domain, including tenants, companies, chart of accounts, journal entries, fiscal periods, and approval workflows. This knowledge will enable you to contribute more effectively to the platform’s development.
• Problem-Solving and Escalation: Proactively troubleshoot challenges and attempt to resolve blockers independently. When issues exceed your current scope of expertise, you will escalate them promptly to senior team members, ensuring minimal delays in project timelines.
• Module Ownership and Growth: Demonstrate consistent progress and capability development, with the goal of assuming full responsibility for a defined module within twelve months. Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to learn, adapt, and deliver results under guidance.
