Finance Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of a premier automotive dealership. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving financial excellence, ensuring compliance, and optimizing performance across all dealership functions, including sales, aftersales, and service operations. Key Responsibilities

The Finance Manager will be responsible for the following core functions:

• Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop and execute comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to support the dealership’s strategic objectives. Prepare and present accurate monthly financial statements, management reports, and KPI dashboards to senior leadership.
• Profitability & Performance Management: Monitor and analyze profitability across all revenue streams, including Vehicle Sales, Parts, Service, and Body & Paint operations. Identify trends, variances, and opportunities to enhance financial performance.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure strict adherence to company policies, accounting standards (IFRS), tax regulations, and internal controls. Manage financial risks, including cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships, while maintaining robust internal controls.
• Strategic Decision Support: Collaborate with dealership management to provide data-driven insights and recommendations for operational and strategic decision-making. Lead financial efficiency initiatives and cost optimization projects to drive sustainable growth.
• Financial Operations Oversight: Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and treasury functions to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring prompt resolution of audit findings.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to foster a high-performance culture. Drive continuous improvement through training, process enhancements, and best practices in financial management.

Qualifications & Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 8-12 years of progressive finance experience, with a strong preference for candidates with prior experience in the automotive industry or dealership operations.
• Technical & Analytical Skills: In-depth knowledge of dealership financial statements, automotive business KPIs, and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills is essential for data analysis and reporting.
• Leadership & Communication: Exceptional leadership abilities with a proven track record in team management and stakeholder engagement. Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
• Compliance & Controls: Solid understanding of IFRS, financial controls, and regulatory compliance requirements. Ability to implement and maintain robust internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
