About the Role: Leading Enterprise Risk Management

As the **Risk Management Lead**, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding Salehiya Healthcare’s operations by overseeing our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Audit and Risk, this strategic position requires a dynamic professional with a keen eye for risk assessment, mitigation, and proactive leadership. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align risk management initiatives with our organizational goals, ensuring resilience and compliance in an evolving healthcare landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Your expertise will be instrumental in the following critical areas:

  • Strategic Risk Oversight: Maintain and continuously update the corporate risk register, ensuring comprehensive input from all departments to reflect current and emerging risks.
  • Risk Mitigation and Monitoring: Follow up on risk mitigation actions with designated risk owners, track implementation progress, and validate the effectiveness of controls through rigorous testing.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Prepare insightful periodic risk reports and interactive dashboards for senior management and the Audit Committee, leveraging data-driven analytics to inform decision-making.
  • Key Risk Indicator (KRI) Management: Monitor KRIs diligently and escalate issues to management when thresholds are exceeded, ensuring timely intervention and proactive risk response.
  • Collaborative Risk Engagement: Partner with risk champions across departments to foster risk awareness, identification, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Workshop Facilitation: Coordinate risk workshops and meetings, managing logistics, documentation, and engagement to drive collective risk ownership and mitigation strategies.
  • Policy and Framework Development: Develop and maintain risk-related documentation, including policies, procedures, and templates, ensuring alignment with recognized frameworks such as COSO, COSO ERM, and ISO 31000.
  • Risk Appetite and Tolerance: Assist in defining and reviewing the organization’s risk appetite and tolerance levels, balancing growth objectives with risk resilience.
  • Emerging Risk Identification: Stay ahead of internal and external developments to proactively identify and escalate potential emerging risks, mitigating threats before they impact operations.
  • Software and Tool Management: Provide administrative support in managing risk management software or tools, ensuring seamless integration into daily operations.
  • Training and Awareness: Develop and update risk training materials, delivering engaging awareness sessions to reinforce a culture of risk consciousness across the organization.
  • Audit and Compliance Support: Collaborate with internal audit and compliance functions, offering risk-related insights to enhance assurance activities, planning, and execution.
  • Ad Hoc and Project Support: Respond to urgent risk-related requests and contribute to special projects or initiatives as assigned by management, demonstrating adaptability and commitment.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you will bring a blend of academic excellence and hands-on experience in risk management:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Professional certifications such as CRMA, IRM Cert, or equivalent are highly valued.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in risk management, with a preference for candidates who have worked in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or high-risk industries. Proficiency in risk management frameworks (e.g., COSO, ISO 31000) is essential.
  • Technical and Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to interpret risk data, identify trends, and recommend actionable insights. Familiarity with risk management software and tools is a plus.
  • Communication and Leadership: Exceptional communication and presentation skills to engage stakeholders at all levels, facilitate workshops, and deliver compelling risk narratives. Leadership experience in driving risk awareness and culture is highly beneficial.

If you are a strategic thinker with a passion for risk management and a desire to contribute to a leading healthcare organization, we invite you to join Salehiya Healthcare and help shape the future of risk resilience in the Kingdom.
