Manager - FP&A Operating Assets

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Manager - FP&A Operating Assets to join our dynamic team at Qiddiya. This pivotal role will oversee the financial planning, analysis, and performance monitoring of our diverse portfolio of operating assets, including theme parks, hotels, golf courses, and sports venues. As a key liaison between the FP&A department, Finance Business Partner (FBP) function, and Asset Management teams, you will play a critical role in driving financial excellence, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the financial trajectory of Qiddiya’s assets, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives while delivering actionable insights to leadership and operational stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

The Manager - FP&A Operating Assets will be entrusted with a broad spectrum of financial and strategic responsibilities, including:

• Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the development and execution of comprehensive budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans for Qiddiya’s operating assets in close collaboration with Finance Business Partners (FBPs) and Asset Management teams. Support scenario planning for pre-opening, ramp-up, and stabilization phases to ensure robust financial readiness.
• Performance Monitoring & Insights: Track and analyze actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing detailed variance analysis and actionable recommendations to FBPs, asset managers, and senior leadership. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to drive operational and financial improvements.
• Reporting & Analytics: Partner with the FP&A reporting team to design, develop, and maintain dynamic dashboards and performance reports using advanced tools such as Power BI and Anaplan. Ensure timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting to support data-driven decision-making.
• Strategic Collaboration: Act as the primary finance liaison for Asset Management and operating teams, providing financial insights and support to operational leaders. Collaborate with FBPs to evaluate pricing strategies, operating models, and investment proposals, ensuring alignment with Qiddiya’s long-term vision.
• Capital & Investment Evaluation: Assess the financial viability of new operating asset initiatives, expansions, and capital investment proposals, providing rigorous analysis and recommendations to leadership.
• Industry Benchmarking: Conduct comparative analysis of Qiddiya’s assets against industry benchmarks, focusing on key operational drivers such as attendance, occupancy, yield, and utilization. Provide insights to enhance competitiveness and operational efficiency.
• Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes, reporting tools, and asset performance monitoring. Ensure seamless integration of financial data into FP&A systems while maintaining data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with governance standards.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you will bring a blend of financial expertise, strategic thinking, and operational acumen. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or a related field is required. Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, or ACCA are highly valued.
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in finance and financial planning & analysis (FP&A), with a strong preference for candidates with a background in asset-intensive sectors such as hospitality, theme parks, sports, or entertainment.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional ability to dissect complex financial and operational data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations. A results-driven mindset with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
• Business Acumen: Deep understanding of asset dynamics within operating environments, including theme parks, hotels, sports venues, and entertainment assets. Ability to translate financial insights into strategic business decisions.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Proven track record of working effectively with cross-functional teams and engaging with senior stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and drive consensus.
• Communication & Presentation: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly and persuasively to executive leadership and non-financial audiences.
• Adaptability & Leadership: Capacity to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. A collaborative mindset with the ability to drive outcomes and influence decisions even without direct authority.
