Financial Accountant

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Accountant to join our finance team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the organization’s financial health through accurate record-keeping and reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, a commitment to precision, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive financial integrity and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare monthly financial statements by collecting, analyzing, and investigating variances to identify trends and provide actionable insights. Develop quarterly and annual financial reports by assembling and validating financial data to support strategic decision-making.
• Financial Inquiry Management: Respond to internal and external financial inquiries by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting financial information to provide clear and concise responses that address stakeholder needs.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare special financial reports by analyzing variances, developing budgets, and creating forecasts to support financial planning and resource allocation.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable Management: Process accounts payable transactions by verifying, approving, and paying invoices in accordance with company policies and payment terms. Maintain accounts receivable records by issuing customer invoices, monitoring outstanding balances, and following up on overdue payments to optimize cash flow.
• Reconciliation and Compliance: Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly. Perform vendor and customer account reconciliations to address payment or billing issues and maintain financial integrity. Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparing accruals, reconciliations, and journal entries to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash inflows and outflows related to receivables and payables to support effective cash flow management and financial stability.
• Internal Controls and Audits: Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies. Support internal and external audits by preparing financial documentation and responding to audit requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments, customers, and vendors to resolve invoice, payment, and account-related issues, fostering strong relationships and operational efficiency.
• Task Execution: Accomplish finance and organizational objectives by completing assigned accounting and financial tasks with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.

Skills and Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent field is required.
• A minimum of two years of relevant accounting experience is necessary to excel in this role.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting regulations, practices, and financial reporting standards is essential.
• Professional certification, such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), is highly preferred and will be considered a significant advantage.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
