Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Guest Service Excellence: Provide attentive, personalized, and professional service to guests, anticipating their needs and preferences to enhance their dining experience. Ensure all guest interactions are conducted with warmth, efficiency, and a commitment to exceeding expectations.
• Order Management: Accurately take and process food and beverage orders, ensuring precision and timeliness. Collaborate closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure orders are fulfilled according to guest specifications and within established timeframes.
• Table Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing dining area, including tables, chairs, and surrounding spaces. Ensure all table settings adhere to hotel standards and that the dining environment remains inviting and comfortable for guests.
• Upselling and Revenue Contribution: Proactively recommend menu items, beverages, and special promotions to enhance guest satisfaction and contribute to the restaurant’s revenue goals. Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of menu offerings, pricing, and seasonal specials.
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a high-performing team, supporting colleagues in all areas of restaurant operations. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment by communicating openly, assisting others, and maintaining a flexible approach to tasks.
• Adherence to Standards: Follow all Marriott International and hotel-specific policies, procedures, and safety protocols. Maintain compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and brand guidelines to ensure a safe and compliant dining experience.
• Problem Resolution: Address guest concerns or issues promptly and professionally, seeking solutions that align with hotel policies while ensuring guest satisfaction. Escalate complex issues to management when necessary.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury or high-end dining establishment, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with guests from diverse backgrounds in a professional and courteous manner.
• A keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in order-taking, table maintenance, and service delivery.
• Physical stamina and the ability to stand, walk, and carry trays or dishes for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the operational needs of the restaurant.
• Prior knowledge of POS systems, reservation software, or other hospitality-related technology is a plus.
