Key Responsibilities

• Guest Interaction: Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and ensure their dining experience is memorable. Anticipate and respond to guest needs with professionalism and courtesy.
• Order Management: Process food and beverage orders efficiently using the property’s point-of-sale system. Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Table Service: Provide attentive and personalized service, including setting tables, refilling beverages, and clearing dishes discreetly. Maintain a clean and organized dining area throughout service.
• Upselling and Recommendations: Suggest menu items, specials, or beverages to enhance the guest experience while aligning with their preferences. Demonstrate knowledge of the menu, ingredients, and wine pairings where applicable.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with hosts, bartenders, chefs, and other staff to ensure seamless operations. Participate in pre-shift meetings to stay informed about promotions, events, or special requests.
• Compliance and Standards: Adhere to Marriott’s service standards, hygiene protocols, and safety regulations. Follow all company policies regarding alcohol service, cash handling, and guest confidentiality.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Experience: Prior experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is preferred. Familiarity with fine dining or high-volume environments is a plus.
• Customer Service: A strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service with a friendly and approachable demeanor. Ability to handle guest inquiries or complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Arabic. Fluency in additional languages is advantageous.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays or dishes for extended periods. Stamina to work in a fast-paced environment during peak hours.
