Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) Registrar to join our dynamic healthcare team at Nahdi Care Clinics (NCC). In this pivotal role, you will deliver exceptional patient care by diagnosing and treating a wide range of otorhinolaryngological conditions, while also contributing to the professional development of junior staff and the continuous improvement of clinical standards. Key Responsibilities
The ENT Registrar will be responsible for a comprehensive scope of duties, including but not limited to:
- Patient Assessment and Care: Conduct thorough examinations of patients, document clinical findings accurately, and design individualized care plans that align with best practices in otorhinolaryngology.
- Diagnostic and Therapeutic Interventions: Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and counsel patients on treatment options, preventive healthcare measures, and lifestyle modifications tailored to their specific conditions.
- Patient Education and Advocacy: Educate patients and their families on health promotion, disease prevention, and the importance of adherence to prescribed treatments. Ensure patients are fully informed about their health status, required investigations, and available treatment modalities.
- Clinical Documentation and Compliance: Maintain meticulous patient records, ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with Nahdi Care Clinics’ policies, CBAHI standards, and regulatory requirements. Adhere to fire safety protocols and departmental attendance standards.
- Collaboration and Communication: Foster effective working relationships with colleagues across departments, local agencies, vendors, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless patient care and operational efficiency.
- Quality Improvement and Professional Development: Actively participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and program evaluations to uphold and enhance clinical, Ministry of Health (MOH), and CBAHI standards. Contribute to the professional growth of junior staff through mentorship, training, and educational activities.
- Specialty-Specific Duties: Perform specialty-specific tasks and procedures based on clinical privileges, training, and experience, in accordance with guidelines set by the Saudi Health Council and relevant authorities.
- Continuing Medical Education (CME):
Engage in and support ongoing CME programs, including rounds, conferences, lectures, and journal clubs, to ensure the delivery of up-to-date and evidence-based care.
Work Environment and Schedule
This position is based in a fully indoor clinical setting, with a structured schedule of six working days per week and one designated day off. The standard working hours are eight net hours per day, as per the shift schedule approved by the Head of Department, ensuring a balanced and sustainable workload.
Qualifications and Requirements
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution, complemented by a Master’s degree in Otorhinolaryngology (or a related specialty) from an accredited university. Alternatively, a Fellowship with approval from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) is acceptable.
- Experience: A minimum of two years of clinical experience post-Master’s degree or eligibility to sit for the board examination in the specialty.
- Licensure: A valid SCFHS license as a Registrar in Otorhinolaryngology or a related specialty.
- Technical Proficiency: Competency in using office and health information systems to streamline clinical workflows and enhance patient care.
- Language Skills: Fluency in both English and Arabic, with the ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken forms.
