Key Responsibilities

The ER Nurse will be accountable for the following core duties:

• Patient Care and Assessment: Conduct thorough nursing assessments, document medical histories, and provide patient care in alignment with established policies and evidence-based practices. Ensure all relevant information is recorded accurately, appropriately, and in a timely manner to support continuity of care.
• Clinical Operations and Safety: Maintain clinical readiness by ensuring adequate stock levels of consumable materials and functional medical equipment. Report any equipment failures, safety concerns, or inventory shortages to the nurse supervisor promptly. Adhere to all policies and guidelines to promote a culture of safety and prevent healthcare-associated infections.
• Advocacy and Collaboration: Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed with compassion and professionalism. Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to foster seamless care transitions and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Quality and Compliance: Contribute to the achievement of clinical quality indicators and patient satisfaction metrics. Participate in ongoing education, training, and professional development to stay current with advancements in nursing practice. Ensure compliance with medicines management protocols for the safe storage and administration of medications.
• Resource Management: Maintain awareness of resource utilization, exercising diligence in the ordering and use of staff, equipment, and materials to support cost-efficiency savings within the unit.
• Professional Development: Engage in self-education initiatives and training programs to enhance clinical skills and knowledge. The role may include additional responsibilities as assigned by management to meet operational needs.

Work Environment and Schedule

This position operates in an indoor clinical setting, with a structured schedule of six working days followed by one day off. The standard working hours are eight net hours per shift, as outlined in the approved schedule by the Head of Department.

Qualifications and Requirements

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Associate Degree/Diploma in Nursing is required.
• Licensure: Current Registered Nurse Licensure from the country of origin and a valid Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) license are mandatory.
• Experience: Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience post-degree is required. Saudi nationals with a Bachelor’s Degree are exempt from the experience requirement.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Healthcare Information Systems is essential for efficient documentation and clinical operations.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in both English and Arabic, both written and verbal, is required to ensure effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
