Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pediatric Registrar to join our dynamic healthcare team at Nahdi Care Clinics (NCC). In this pivotal role, you will provide comprehensive medical care to pediatric patients, diagnose and treat illnesses, and contribute to the overall health and well-being of our community. As a Pediatric Registrar, you will play a critical part in designing patient care plans, educating families on health promotion, and ensuring adherence to the highest clinical standards. Key Responsibilities

The Pediatric Registrar will be responsible for a wide range of clinical and administrative duties, including:

  • Patient Assessment and Care: Conduct thorough examinations of pediatric patients, document findings accurately, and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Diagnosis and Treatment: Diagnose and manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions, prescribe medications, and order diagnostic tests as needed to ensure accurate and timely care.
  • Patient Education: Provide clear and compassionate education to patients and their families on health conditions, treatment options, medication use, and preventive healthcare measures tailored to each patient’s needs.
  • Investigations and Monitoring: Order, review, and interpret diagnostic investigations, ensuring timely follow-up and adjustments to treatment plans based on results.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain meticulous patient records in accordance with NCC policies, CBAHI standards, and regulatory requirements. Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including other departments within NCC, local agencies, and external partners, to deliver cohesive and high-quality care. Build strong relationships with patients, families, and stakeholders to foster trust and cooperation.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate actively in continuous quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and program evaluations to enhance patient outcomes and meet MOH and CBAHI standards.
  • Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development through participation in educational activities, such as rounds, conferences, journal clubs, and lectures. Support the professional growth of junior staff and contribute to the development of the pediatric department.
  • Specialty Privileges: Perform tasks and procedures aligned with your training, experience, and clinical privileges as defined by the Saudi Health Council and NCC guidelines. Adapt to additional responsibilities based on clinical needs and departmental requirements.
  • Adherence to Standards: Strictly adhere to NCC policies, procedures, bylaws, and strategic plans, as well as CBAHI standards of care. Uphold the mission, vision, and goals of NCC in all professional activities.

Work Environment and Schedule

The Pediatric Registrar will operate in a fully indoor clinical setting, providing patient care in a professional and supportive environment. The role requires a commitment to a structured schedule, including:

  • Working Days: 6 days per week
  • Days Off: 1 day off per week
  • Working Hours: 8 net working hours per day, as per the shift schedule approved by the Head of Department

Qualifications and Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and professional standards:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery from a recognized university.
    • Master’s degree in Pediatrics from a recognized university, or Fellowship with approval from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience following the completion of a Master’s degree, or eligibility to sit for the board examination in the specialty.
  • Licensure: Valid SCFHS license as a Registrar in Pediatrics.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in office and health information systems to support clinical documentation and patient management.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in both English and Arabic, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
