Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a broad range of critical functions:

• Clinical Leadership and Patient Care: Provide superior emergency medical care by conducting thorough patient assessments, including history-taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations. Initiate and manage appropriate treatment plans for a diverse range of cases—surgical, orthopedic, medical, and pediatric—while ensuring the stabilization of critical patients.
• Triage and Workflow Management: Collaborate with Emergency Room nurses to triage patients based on the acuity of their conditions, ensuring efficient and equitable distribution of resources.
• Supervision and Mentorship: Oversee and guide ER residents, fostering their professional development while maintaining rigorous clinical standards.
• Consultation and Referral Coordination: Facilitate timely referrals to specialized physicians or departments when necessary, ensuring seamless transitions in care for complex or chronic cases.
• Comprehensive Documentation: Maintain meticulous and compliant medical records in accordance with hospital insurance policies and regulatory requirements.
• Education and Training: Actively participate in departmental education initiatives, including teaching sessions, case reviews, and quality improvement projects.
• Patient and Family Engagement: Deliver clear, culturally sensitive, and developmentally appropriate health education to patients and families. Collaborate with them in care planning, respecting their autonomy and preferences while documenting educational interventions in medical records.
• Compliance and Policy Adherence: Uphold all departmental policies, hospital protocols, and legal regulations to ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant healthcare environment.

Professional Reporting and Collaboration

Qualifications and Competencies

To excel in this role, you must meet the following requirements:

• Education: A **University medical degree** is mandatory. A **Master’s degree in Emergency Medicine or Intensive Care** with a minimum of **three years of specialized experience** is highly preferred.
• Licensure: Current registration with the **Saudi Medical Council** and a valid license to practice medicine in Saudi Arabia.
• Experience: A minimum of **five years of post-qualification experience** in Emergency Medicine, with a strong preference for candidates possessing additional sub-specialty expertise or academic affiliations.
