We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Road and Civil Engineer to provide expert technical leadership and on-site supervision for road and civil infrastructure construction projects, particularly those associated with utility developments. Key Responsibilities

The Senior Road and Civil Engineer will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of construction activities, including but not limited to:

• Technical Leadership: Provide expert guidance and supervision for the construction of roads, pavements, utility corridors, drainage networks, and associated civil infrastructure, ensuring alignment with approved designs and project objectives.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance: Monitor contractor performance to ensure full compliance with approved drawings, specifications, international engineering standards, and contractual obligations. Conduct rigorous site inspections to verify adherence to quality control procedures and project requirements.
• Documentation and Approvals: Review and provide timely feedback on method statements, shop drawings, material submittals, and construction schedules. Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical reports, inspection logs, non-conformance reports, and site instruction records to document project progress and address discrepancies.
• Technical Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve technical challenges encountered during construction, offering innovative engineering solutions to mitigate risks and ensure project continuity.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate seamlessly with utility, structural, geotechnical, survey, and project management teams to facilitate cohesive project execution. Serve as a liaison between stakeholders to align objectives and resolve interdepartmental issues.
• Progress and Payment Verification: Accurately assess progress quantities and review contractor payment applications to ensure transparency and financial accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Champion the implementation of robust health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across all construction activities, fostering a culture of safety and sustainability on-site.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Participate in project meetings, providing strategic technical recommendations to support project goals. Engage with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to address concerns and facilitate smooth project delivery.
• Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard project timelines, budgets, and quality outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized and accredited institution.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in road and civil infrastructure projects, with a proven track record in construction supervision for utility-related developments, including roads, drainage systems, and utility networks.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of international engineering standards and construction practices, with hands-on experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably within the GCC region.
• Software Skills: Proficiency in industry-standard software tools, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and the Microsoft Office Suite, to support design review, documentation, and project management activities.
• Regulatory and Quality Knowledge: Familiarity with QA/QC procedures, contract administration, and supervision consultancy services to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, coordination, and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to articulate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences. Professional registration or chartership status is highly desirable.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in written and spoken English is essential. Proficiency in Arabic is considered an advantage for effective engagement with local stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
