Key Responsibilities

The ER General Physician will perform a wide range of clinical and administrative duties, including:

• Patient Assessment and Diagnosis: Examine patients thoroughly, take detailed medical histories, and diagnose minor illnesses to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Treatment and Medication Management: Prescribe medications, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and ensure patients receive the most effective care for their conditions.
• Patient Education and Counseling: Provide patients with clear guidance on diet, hygiene, preventive healthcare measures, and the proper use of medications. Empower patients to take charge of their health through informed decision-making.
• Care Plan Development: Design and execute individualized patient care plans, ensuring continuity of care and adherence to clinical best practices.
• Diagnostic Testing and Results Review: Order and review diagnostic tests to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Health Promotion and Disease Prevention: Educate patients on strategies to maintain optimal health and prevent common illnesses, fostering a proactive approach to wellness.
• Vaccination Administration: Administer vaccinations when applicable, ensuring patients are protected against preventable diseases.
• Referral Management: Identify cases requiring specialized care and refer patients to appropriate medical specialties or departments for further investigation and treatment.
• Video Consultation: Conduct virtual consultations when necessary, providing accessible and timely medical advice to patients in remote or underserved areas.
• Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
• Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, specialists, and administrative staff, to deliver seamless and high-quality patient care.

Work Environment and Schedule

The ER General Physician will operate in a fully indoor clinical setting, providing care in a controlled and professional environment. The position requires a commitment to a structured work schedule, including:

• Working Days: 6 days per week, ensuring consistent availability to meet patient needs.
• Days Off: 1 day off per week, providing a balanced work-life schedule.
• Working Hours: 8 net working hours per day, aligned with the shift schedule approved by the Head of Department. Flexibility and punctuality are essential to maintain operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Medicine from a recognized university. Valid SCHS (Saudi Commission for Health Specialties) license is mandatory.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, with a preference for experience in emergency or general practice.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in office software and health information systems, ensuring seamless integration with electronic health records and clinical workflows.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in both English and Arabic, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations and healthcare teams.
• Professional Attributes: Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a patient-centered approach. Ability to work under pressure, make critical decisions, and maintain composure in high-stress situations.
