Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Consultant – Structural Heart to join our dynamic team in Abha, Saudi Arabia. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge medical technologies while collaborating closely with healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes. As a key member of our global team, you will play a pivotal role in promoting Medtronic’s advanced structural heart solutions, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and providing technical expertise to support clinical teams.

This position requires significant travel, with an expected travel commitment of 60-70%, as you engage with hospitals, clinics, and medical professionals across the region. Key Responsibilities

• Product Promotion and Relationship Building: Actively promote Medtronic’s structural heart products and services within your assigned geographic area and to key customer accounts. Develop and nurture long-term relationships with physicians, hospital personnel, and other stakeholders to drive adoption of our innovative solutions.
• Technical and Clinical Support: Provide comprehensive technical and clinical support to hospitals and healthcare teams, including therapy indications, pre-procedure planning, intra-operative assistance, and post-implant patient management. Ensure seamless integration of Medtronic products into clinical workflows.
• Education and Consultation: Deliver on-site education, training, and product demonstrations to healthcare professionals. Conduct workshops and consultations to enhance understanding of Medtronic’s structural heart technologies and their applications.
• Customer Feedback and Collaboration: Act as a liaison between customers and internal stakeholders by gathering feedback on product performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and recommending enhancements to sales processes, product launches, and clinical support pathways.
• Cross-Functional Engagement: Collaborate with commercial teams, research and development, and other departments to align technical support with business objectives. Participate in cross-functional projects to drive innovation and operational excellence.
• On-Call Support: Provide timely on-call support to address urgent technical or clinical queries, ensuring minimal disruption to patient care and clinical operations.
• Professional Development: Stay abreast of industry trends, new products, and emerging technologies in the structural heart space. Continuously enhance your expertise through ongoing training and education to deliver exceptional value to customers and the organization.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biomedical Engineering, Medicine, or related discipline).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the medical device industry or a hospital environment, with a strong focus on structural heart therapies.
• Hands-on experience supporting Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) and Transcatheter Pulmonary Valve Implantation (TPVI) procedures.
• In-depth knowledge of operating room (OR) environments, including sterilization protocols, radiation safety, and medical terminology.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to educate and train medical professionals effectively.
• Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks or projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.

Preferred qualifications include familiarity with radiology protocols, imaging technologies, and a comprehensive understanding of the medical device industry. Prior experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is highly desirable.

Physical Requirements

This role requires regular travel and mobility, as you will be expected to visit customer sites, hospitals, and offsite meetings independently. The position demands physical stamina, adaptability to varying work environments, and the ability to work flexible hours as needed to support clinical teams and patient care.
