Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Category Manager – Amazon Now to join our dynamic team at Afaq Q Tech General Trading in Riyadh. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the Amazon Now category, ensuring its growth, profitability, and alignment with market trends. Key Responsibilities

• Category Strategy Development: Formulate and execute data-driven strategies to expand the Amazon Now category, including pricing, promotions, and product assortment to maximize revenue and market share.
• Supplier & Vendor Management: Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to negotiate favorable terms, secure exclusive products, and ensure timely deliveries to meet customer demand.
• Inventory & Supply Chain Optimization: Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and work closely with logistics teams to minimize stockouts and overstock situations while optimizing warehouse operations.
• Performance Analysis & Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales growth, profit margins, and customer feedback, providing actionable insights to senior leadership through regular reports and presentations.
• Market & Competitor Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and opportunities, adjusting strategies accordingly to maintain a leading position in the category.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, sales, finance, and operations teams to align category goals with overall business objectives, ensuring seamless execution of initiatives.
• Customer-Centric Approach: Focus on enhancing the customer experience by curating a diverse and high-quality product selection, addressing feedback, and improving service standards on the Amazon platform.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess a blend of analytical prowess, business acumen, and e-commerce expertise. The ideal candidate will have:

• A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in category management, retail, or e-commerce, with a strong focus on Amazon or similar platforms.
• Proven track record of driving category growth, improving profit margins, and optimizing inventory management.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau) and familiarity with e-commerce platforms and marketplaces.
• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a results-oriented mindset to navigate challenges and capitalize on opportunities in a dynamic environment.
