Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Credit Analyst to join our finance team. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in assessing the financial health of new and existing customers, ensuring robust credit risk management, and supporting the organization’s financial stability. Key Responsibilities

The Credit Analyst will be responsible for a range of essential duties, including:

• Credit Evaluation: Assess the creditworthiness of prospective and current customers by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data to determine their ability to meet financial obligations.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of customer agreements, credit utilization trends, and account performance to identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Risk Mitigation: Develop and recommend strategies to minimize credit risk, ensuring timely payments and reducing exposure to financial losses. Monitor industry and economic trends to anticipate shifts that may impact customer creditworthiness.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed D&A (Discounts and Allowances) analysis and accruals to support accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
• Collections Support: Collaborate with the collections team to monitor overdue payments, track payment behaviors, and implement proactive measures to recover outstanding amounts efficiently.
• Pricing Analysis: Assist in defining and evaluating pricing strategies to balance competitiveness with risk management, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
• System Utilization: Leverage advanced financial tools and software, including SAP, to streamline processes, enhance data accuracy, and generate actionable insights. Familiarity with Sales Buzz will be considered an additional advantage.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required. Professional certifications such as SOCPA are highly desirable.
• Experience: A minimum of 2–4 years of relevant experience in credit analysis, financial risk assessment, or a comparable role within the finance sector.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, commercial accounting practices, and financial analysis methodologies. Strong command of Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, is essential for data manipulation and reporting.
• Analytical Excellence: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Communication and Coordination: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients. Strong interpersonal abilities to build relationships and facilitate smooth operations.
• Technical Competency: Hands-on experience with SAP is mandatory, as the role involves utilizing the system for financial data management and reporting. Familiarity with Sales Buzz will be viewed as a valuable asset.
