Position Overview

The Senior ICT Engineer – Active and Passive – Technical Office is a full-time, on-site position based in Riyadh. This pivotal role is responsible for the strategic design, implementation, and maintenance of active and passive network infrastructures, including switches, routers, servers, cabling systems, and associated hardware components. The successful candidate will provide advanced technical support, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and external vendors, and ensure meticulous documentation of network designs and solutions. This role demands a high level of technical expertise, problem-solving acumen, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Design and Architecture: Develop and implement High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) for complex active and passive network infrastructures, ensuring alignment with enterprise requirements and industry best practices.
• Infrastructure Deployment: Oversee the installation, configuration, and optimization of switches, routers, servers, and cabling systems, including structured cabling, rack layouts, and equipment installation in data centers and enterprise environments.
• Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide advanced technical support to internal teams and end users, diagnosing and resolving complex network issues to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
• Vendor and Supplier Coordination: Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of high-quality ICT components and services, while negotiating favorable terms and conditions.
• Security and Compliance: Implement robust network security policies, firewalls, and best practices to safeguard ICT infrastructure against threats, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive technical reports, diagrams, and presentations to document network designs, configurations, and operational procedures, facilitating knowledge sharing and compliance audits.
• Project Management: Lead and participate in multiple ICT projects, coordinating with stakeholders to deliver solutions on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Relevant professional certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, Network+, or security certifications are highly advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in the construction and deployment of ICT systems, with a strong focus on active and passive network infrastructures, including data centers and enterprise environments.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of complex network designs, capacity planning, and topology optimization for enterprise-scale environments. Proficiency in cabling systems, structured cabling standards, and infrastructure deployment methodologies.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional documentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset to work effectively in team-oriented settings.
