Senior Data Center & Microsoft 365 Engineer (3-Month Project)- Riyadh, KSA

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Center & Microsoft 365 Engineer to join our dynamic team for a 3-month project based in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This role is critical to ensuring the seamless operation, optimization, and security of our on-premises data center infrastructure and Microsoft 365 cloud services. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in hybrid cloud environments, data center management, and Microsoft 365 administration, with a proven track record of delivering high-impact solutions in fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Center & Microsoft 365 Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust IT infrastructure solutions that align with business objectives. Your duties will include:

• Data Center Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of our on-premises data center, including server, storage, and networking infrastructure. Ensure high availability, performance, and security of critical systems.
• Microsoft 365 Administration: Manage and optimize Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Azure Active Directory. Implement best practices for user provisioning, access management, and collaboration tools.
• Hybrid Cloud Integration: Develop and maintain seamless integration between on-premises data center systems and Microsoft 365 cloud services. Ensure data consistency, security, and compliance across hybrid environments.
• Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce security policies, access controls, and compliance measures in alignment with industry standards and organizational requirements. Conduct regular audits and vulnerability assessments to mitigate risks.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability. Utilize monitoring tools and analytics to proactively identify and resolve potential bottlenecks.
• Collaboration & Support: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT operations, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders, to deliver tailored solutions that meet operational and strategic needs. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Project Execution: Lead and execute the 3-month project with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes. Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as MCSE: Core Infrastructure, MCSA: Microsoft 365, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in data center operations, Microsoft 365 administration, and hybrid cloud environments. Prior experience in project-based roles is a plus.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of server virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), storage solutions (SAN/NAS), networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls), and Microsoft 365 services. Familiarity with PowerShell scripting, Azure services, and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST) is essential.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
