Key Responsibilities

The Jira Administrator will play a pivotal role in optimizing and maintaining Nextwo’s Jira ecosystem to support seamless project management and service delivery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following core duties:

• Jira Project Administration: Oversee the configuration and administration of Jira projects, including workflows, issue types, screens, fields, permissions, and notifications to ensure alignment with organizational processes.
• User & Access Management: Manage user accounts, groups, roles, and access controls to maintain data security and operational efficiency.
• Jira Service Management Configuration: Develop and maintain Jira Service Management workflows, SLAs, queues, and request types to streamline IT service and support operations.
• Analytics & Reporting: Design and implement dashboards, reports, filters, and advanced JQL queries to provide actionable insights and enhance decision-making.
• Automation & Workflow Optimization: Develop and refine Jira automation rules to automate repetitive tasks and improve overall business workflows.
• System Integration: Facilitate seamless integrations between Jira and enterprise systems such as Confluence, Bitbucket, Git, APIs, and other third-party applications to enhance cross-platform collaboration.
• Troubleshooting & Performance Management: Diagnose and resolve Jira performance issues, configuration challenges, workflow inefficiencies, and integration conflicts to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• System Maintenance & Upgrades: Conduct regular Jira upgrades, maintenance activities, and configuration management to support system stability and scalability.
• User Support & Training: Provide technical assistance, training sessions, and comprehensive documentation to empower end-users and stakeholders in leveraging Jira effectively.

Required Skills & Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following technical competencies and professional attributes:

• Jira Administration Expertise: Proven experience in administering Jira, including Jira Software and Jira Service Management, with a deep understanding of its core functionalities.
• Advanced JQL & Workflow Management: Proficiency in crafting complex JQL queries, designing workflows, configuring automation rules, and developing insightful dashboards and reports.
• Confluence Administration: Hands-on experience in administering Confluence to support documentation and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• API & Integration Knowledge: Strong grasp of REST APIs and experience in integrating Jira with other enterprise systems to enhance operational efficiency.
• Methodology & Process Understanding: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies and ITIL processes to align Jira configurations with best practices.
• Problem-Solving & Communication: Exceptional troubleshooting abilities and strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and provide clear technical guidance.

Educational & Professional Requirements

Applicants should meet the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Prior experience working in an enterprise-level environment is highly desirable.
• Experience in the banking or financial services sector is considered a strong advantage.
