Key Responsibilities

As an MEP Director, you will be entrusted with a broad spectrum of responsibilities designed to elevate our MEP engineering capabilities and drive project success. Your core duties will include:

• Strategic Leadership: Provide visionary leadership to MEP teams, aligning engineering strategies with project objectives and organizational goals. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Project Oversight: Oversee the planning, design, and execution of MEP systems for large-scale infrastructure, commercial, residential, and industrial projects. Ensure compliance with international codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
• Technical Excellence: Champion the adoption of advanced MEP technologies, including Building Information Modeling (BIM), energy-efficient systems, and smart building solutions. Drive the implementation of best practices to enhance system performance and reliability.
• Team Development: Mentor and develop high-performing MEP engineers and designers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment. Identify training needs and implement professional development programs to enhance team capabilities.
• Client Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering technical expertise and strategic insights to support their project goals. Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and exceptional service delivery.
• Budget and Resource Management: Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of MEP systems. Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges in MEP projects, developing proactive mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project execution. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you will bring a wealth of experience and technical expertise to the table. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PE, CEng, LEED AP) are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in MEP engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership or directorial role.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex MEP projects, preferably in sectors such as infrastructure, commercial, or residential development.
• Strong technical proficiency in MEP design software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, ETAP) and a deep understanding of industry standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NEC, NFPA).
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams across diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and innovation, with a focus on delivering energy-efficient and environmentally responsible MEP solutions.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, with a keen eye for detail and a results-driven mindset.
