Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registrar in Pediatrics to join our dynamic healthcare team. Key Responsibilities

The Registrar in Pediatrics will be responsible for the following core functions:

• Assessment and Diagnosis:
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including detailed histories encompassing developmental milestones, medical and vaccination records, and family health history.
  • Utilize telehealth technologies to perform virtual physical examinations, accurately assessing symptoms and pediatric conditions.
  • Interpret diagnostic test results, such as laboratory findings and imaging studies, to inform clinical decision-making.
  • Facilitate both scheduled and instant telehealth consultations to address urgent and routine pediatric care needs.
• Treatment Planning and Implementation:
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate closely with patients and their families to establish achievable treatment goals and ensure adherence to care plans.
  • Prescribe evidence-based medications, therapies, and lifestyle modifications in alignment with pediatric clinical guidelines.
  • Monitor patient progress through follow-up telehealth consultations, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Clinical Quality and Safe Practice:
  • Uphold and promote the highest standards of clinical quality and patient safety across all pediatric care services.
  • Adhere rigorously to established clinical guidelines, protocols, and evidence-based practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and incident reporting to drive continuous enhancement of care delivery.
  • Address safety concerns promptly and effectively, implementing corrective measures to mitigate risks and prevent adverse events.
• Collaboration with Healthcare Providers:
  • Foster seamless collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals, to deliver cohesive and comprehensive patient care.
  • Lead and contribute to case discussions, sharing critical patient insights and progress updates to inform collective decision-making.
  • Coordinate referrals to specialists and additional healthcare services as needed to ensure patients receive specialized care when required.
• Professional Development and Compliance:
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through participation in continuing medical education (CME) programs, workshops, and training initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of evolving clinical guidelines, best practices, and advancements in pediatric medicine to maintain clinical excellence.
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, including those set forth by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
• Patient Safety and Satisfaction:
  • Prioritize patient safety by implementing and adhering to established safety protocols and best practices throughout the care continuum.
  • Enhance patient satisfaction by fostering effective communication, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring transparency regarding treatment plans and progress.
  • Collect and analyze patient feedback to identify opportunities for service improvement and patient experience enhancement.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and possess the following competencies:

• Education and Certification:
  • Holding a medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of a residency program in Pediatrics from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or equivalent in Pediatrics.
  • Valid classification and registration as a Registrar in Pediatrics with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
• Technical Proficiency:
  • Demonstrated proficiency in telehealth technologies and platforms to deliver virtual pediatric care effectively.
  • Strong diagnostic skills and familiarity with clinical assessment tools specific to pediatric medicine.
  • Expertise in utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) and telemedicine platforms to document and manage patient care.

Education

Candidates must hold a degree in Medicine and Surgery from an accredited institution.
